A New Year … Time to Spring Clean in Dallas
It’s a New Year and there is no better time to start planning for spring cleaning.
Maybe you put this off at the end of the year thinking you would get to it at the beginning of the year.
Maybe your organization has kept this in-house but has become too busy to keep up with the daily tasks of keeping a building clean.
Perhaps you are looking for a janitorial service company. Don’t get overwhelmed. Here are a few tips to tidy up your workplace:
1. Change it up.
Don’t be afraid of change around the office. Rearranging furniture, updating the lobby or freshening up the paint, are relatively simple updates that can pay big dividends in office morale and keeps things from becoming too monotonous for your employees.
2. Out with the old, in with the new (year).
It’s amazing all that goes on in an office environment. And with all that work, there is bound to be some dirt that gets stirred up. Take a moment to have your employees organize their workspaces by sorting through their paperwork, file what needs to be filed and shred any excess documents.
3. In addition to #1, it’s very important to make sure your building is being properly maintained.
Make sure your flooring is being treated. Office carpets need to be cleaned often. If you have tile, laminate, hardwood, or other types of flooring, these too need to be regularly maintained. Hire a janitorial service company for a thorough cleaning and to extend the life of your flooring.
4. Review your strategy.
“This is the way we’ve always done it.” “This is the company that we’ve always used.” There may not be anything wrong with your current strategy but it’s always a good idea to make sure your current janitorial service company is providing the services promised. Perhaps there are other services in which they don’t provide or maybe you feel that you might be overpaying. Get a quote.
